In recent months, maritime related accidents have occurred frequently, and there have been many container fires on container ships and ports. ...

According to the news released by the customs, recently, many customs in Ningbo, Shenzhen and other places seized many cases of concealed dangerous goods when inspecting export goods, involving fireworks and firecrackers, lithium batteries and so on.

Recently, Meishan Customs seized a false report of fireworks and firecrackers in export goods. The ticket goods were declared for export by a customs declaration company, and two rows of cartons were placed at the door of the container, with shelves and other commodities inside to conceal them. All of them were simply packaged and unprotected fireworks, weighing 20.3 tons. Fireworks are listed in the List of Dangerous Goods. At present, the above goods have been handed over to relevant departments for further processing.

On May 24th, Huanggang Customs seized 20 lithium-ion batteries for household solar power generation system of dangerous goods, weighing 2 tons, in the freight export channel, without the "Appraisal Result Sheet for Transportation and Packaging of Outbound Dangerous Goods" (commonly known as "Dangerous Package Certificate"). At present, the goods have been returned according to the regulations.

On May 20th, Liantang Customs officers inspected an outbound vehicle and found that the vehicle was loaded with 20 bottles of dangerous goods refrigerant, weighing 200 kilograms, which had not been declared to the customs. At present, this batch of goods has been transferred to the subsequent disposal department for processing.

Recently, Liantang Customs seized 98 mobile batteries for energy storage of dangerous goods in export channels. When the customs officers inspected an outbound vehicle, they found that the goods "energy storage mobile battery" contained in it were Class 9 dangerous goods, and there was no dangerous goods transportation mark in the packaging of the goods, and the parties concerned could not provide the Identification Result Sheet for the Transportation and Packaging of Outbound Dangerous Goods.

Earlier, major shipping companies have issued announcements one after another, which will impose heavy penalties on those who conceal dangerous goods. Recently, HMM issued another announcement to reiterate that the maximum penalty for false reporting of dangerous goods is 30,000 USD/case!

In recent years, due to the strict investigation of maritime affairs by customs and the heavy penalties imposed by shipping companies, major ports still frequently seized dangerous goods and concealed major cases, and many responsible persons have been taken criminal compulsory measures.

Once again, I would like to remind the majority of cargo owners and friends that when booking shipping space, please declare the name of the goods truthfully, and ensure that the information of the pre-prepared manifest, customs declaration and bill of lading by the customs is consistent. No false report, omission or misstatement is allowed, so as to avoid liquidated damages.
