On June 6th, a fire broke out in the cargo hold of a container ship named "SL TWEETY" with a capacity of 2490TEU. At the time of the incident, the ship left Mersin, Turkey, in the eastern Mediterranean, and was on its way to Kumport, Turkey, in Mal Malakhei.

According to reports, the fire was put out or controlled by the crew, and the "SL TWEETY" had to interrupt its voyage and anchor at the anchorage of Mersin to ask for assistance.
